I was born and raised in Los Angeles. After college at UCLA, I attended medical school at Johns Hopkins, then residency at UC San Diego. I practiced inpatient psychiatry at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, and then spent a year in New Zealand, practicing community psychiatry with the indigenous Maori population. In addition to my passion for mental health, I enjoy travel, music, running and cycling, as well as spending time outdoors, camping and visiting the national parks.
